Stream NDI® to Youtube
Streaming NDI® to YouTube is a simple way to offload encoding from your mixer to Callaba, freeing up your resources while delivering a smooth, high-quality stream.
This step-by-step tutorial will show you how to do it quickly and efficiently.
0. Before you begin
For this tutorial, you will need :
▶ Callaba software
⬇️ Get Callaba on AWS Marketplace | 📖 Guide: How to launch
⬇️ Get a self-hosted license | 📖 Guide: How to install self-hosted
▶ Youtube account
1. Ensure your NDI® device is detected
Callaba automatically detects NDI devices on the same network. For this tutorial, I’ll be streaming one of my two NDI® devices to YouTube.
2. Create a Restream
Go to the Restreaming section and click to create a new restream.
Give your restream a name so it’s easy to identify.
For the input type, select NDI® Device.
Choose your NDI® device from the list.
3. Configure the destination for YouTube
Set the destination to YouTube.
Copy your YouTube stream key and paste it into the destination settings.
Save your restream, and Callaba will begin encoding your NDI® stream as RTMP and sending it to YouTube.
And that’s it! Your NDI stream is now live on YouTube.
