How to convert SRT streams into cloud NDI® devices

 In Callaba, setting up an NDI® adapter to convert incoming SRT streams into discoverable NDI® devices is simple. Follow these steps to get your SRT stream ready for NDI®:

 

Create an NDI® Adapter

1. Navigate to the NDI® adapters section in Callaba.

Click "Add New"

2. Name your NDI®  adapter

3. Select your Source Input, such as SRT server

If you don't have SRT server yet, click Create SRT server, name it, and specify the necessary ports.

4. Name your NDI® Device for easy identification on the network.

Click Save

 

Send Your SRT Stream

Go to the SRT servers section and click on the Info button for the SRT server you just created.

Copy the SRT Publisher URL

Use this URL to send your stream (from vMix, OBS or any other SRT-capable software).

 

NDI® Conversion

The incoming SRT stream will automatically convert into an NDI® stream.

Your new NDI® device should now appear under the NDI® discovered devices section in Callaba.

Discover the NDI® Device

Your newly created NDI® device is now discoverable across the network. You can use any NDI® switcher or compatible software to find and use this device.

This streamlined process allows you to easily convert SRT streams into cloud-based NDI® devices, making them discoverable for live production workflows.
