How does the CCTV storage calculator estimate capacity?

It multiplies the number of feeds by average bitrate in Mbps, recording hours per day, 0.45 GB per Mbps-hour, and retention days. An optional backup copy doubles the media capacity.

Does the estimate include storage overhead and variable bitrate peaks?

No. The result is a media-data baseline in decimal GB and TB. Add headroom for variable bitrate peaks, containers, filesystems, indexes, operating-system use, and the redundancy policy of the selected storage.

Is Callaba a VMS or camera management system?
